If you’ve attended GLIP in the past, you could be the proud new owner of a GLIP sweatshirt… all you have to do is tell us about your experience at GLIP. We want to know how GLIP made a difference for you, what you learned at GLIP, or the lifelong mentor you found at GLIP.
Whatever your story is… we want to hear it! Why? Well, we are looking for testimonials from GLIP graduates to share on our website and materials. GLIP Scholarship Auction

Calling all PPM members and Vendors….We need “Auction Stuff” for the GLIP Scholarship Auction!
The auction will take place during PPM’s Michigan Photographic Expo (February 19-23, 2010).
If you are a shooter, consider donating a unique print. If you have extra stuff lying around the studio that you’re never planning to use… consider donating that! Frames, lights, reflectors, your Mother-in-Law (just kidding!)… But we’ll accept pretty much whatever you can get into your car.
Please bring your items to the auction room by 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 21st, 2010. The auction is scheduled to run from 7pm to 9pm.
Remember, it’s for a good cause!
Plus, this year we’ve changed up things up a bit with the tickets! You’ll get one ticket for each $10 spent at Auction. But, if you spend $50 or more, you’ll get extra tickets! Here’s the breakdown:
- Spend $50-99, get 5 extra Tickets
- Spend $100-149, get 20 extra Tickets
- Spend $150 and up, get 40 extra tickets
Each Ticket that is drawn is worth $100 toward a GLIP registration, plus a chance to win… (drumroll please!)
The Golden Ticket
Yes, that’s right. We’re offering a chance to win a Golden Ticket, worth up to 4 days at GLIP.
So, now you have absolutely NO excuse not to participate in the GLIP Scholarship Auction! You’ll benefit whether you donate something (more room in your studio) or buy something (chance at the Golden Ticket), and all the $$ will go to a good cause.
So, mark your calendars, and be sure to join us on Sunday night, February 21, 2010 during PPM’s Michigan Photographic Expo!

GLIP 2010 will be held June 21st – 24th , 2010 at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, MI. This year, there will be 1 day, 2 day, and 4 day classes! More opportunities to learn the skills you NEED to succeed! More opportunities to learn from peer experiences; more opportunities to have hands-on learning! GLIP is changing to meet the needs of photographers like you with new innovative classes and a NEW location that is much easier to get to.

GLIP is on the Move!
After 5 years on the beautiful campus of Northwest Michigan College, in Traverse City, GLIP is moving to our new HOME! The beautiful campus of Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor.
The campus itself has wonderful photographic landscaping and architecture, plus available to us are the University of Michigan Botanical Gardens, the “Law Quad”, and all of the University of Michigan Campus and City of Ann Arbor just minutes away.
Plus there are lots more exciting new things about GLIP 2010. You now have the choice of 1, 2, or 4 day classes. Mix and match them or take one four day class, the choice is yours! We really want you to sign up for a “full schedule” (four 1 day, or two 2 day, or one 4 day class) because we know you will get the most out of the week long leraning experience. But we also know there are those who just can’t do that today for all sorts of different reasons. So we want to still offer you the absolute best education, from instructors who will teach you skills to help you succeed, for a very reasonable investment of your time and money!
NO DORM ROOMS! That’s right, no more sore backs, no missing air conditioning, and no dorm food. We are making special arrangements with local motel/hotels for special room rates by the day or week. Plus, all GLIP staff, instructors, and students will stay wat the same place! We are planning, in addition to our Wednesday night party, a social hour every evening at the end of class day for students, staff, and INSTRUCTORS to attend! So, you decide, you can stay all week with us, you can stay one night with us. You can stay wherever you want. The choice is yours.
