Spend a day looking at children’s photography like you have never done before. You will not only see how Dennis works with children but you will also learn all the methods he uses to get great expressions.
Photography areas to be covered will be Studio, window light, and environmental along with location photography. We will focus on attaining the same light quality for your portraits in each of these settings. Composition, diffusion, and props are just a few of the elements to be covered as we learn what is needed to create that unforgettable portrait.
The best part is we will have fun. Dennis has a teaching style that makes you expect the unexpected. Come and spend a week that you will remember for the rest of your life.
Biography: Dennis and Lori Craft run a successful portrait studio in the historic town of Marshall, Michigan. Together they operate Craft Photographic Gallery. Dennis’ artistry includes many photographic areas, but he is best known for his imaginative children's photography.
Craft Photography opened in 1979 in a storefront in downtown Marshall. In 1988 they renovated a historic home in Marshall as a studio. Then, in 1999 they moved their business and home outside of Marshall on thirteen acres of “picture perfect” property. The charming surroundings compliment the relaxed photography that has become a signature style for the studio.
The Craft's owe much of their success to Dennis’s creative photography, an aggressive marketing plan, and a good relationship with their staff and clients. The marketing varies from a quarterly newsletter, Limited Edition portraits, and a variety of portrait opportunities to provide business throughout the calendar year.
The Craft’s are willing to share their enthusiasm for the art of creating award winning images, along with a proven marketing plan to help other photographers achieve success in their own studios. When Dennis and Lori share a platform they bring a host of experience, ideas, and enthusiasm. They hold nothing back and are willing to share with other photographers how to increase their business and have a great time doing it.
